Police: Teen Strangled Girlfriend, Dumped Body In Trash

Clarkston police said they may charge more people in connection with a killing in that city.

Investigators said 18-year-old Shannon Cade killed his girlfriend, 17-year-old Brittney Wells, and dumped her body in an apartment complex dumpster.

Police said Cade strangled Wells inside the Willow Creek Apartments early Thursday morning.

Police said they responded to the scene after receiving an anonymous 911 call. The tipster said they saw a car speed away from an apartment complex dumpster after someone dumped something that looked like a body.

Police believe several witnesses watched as Cade dumped the girl’s body in the trash bin.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with concealing a death.

Police told Channel 2's Tom Regan that three or four others could face charges if it is found they withheld information.
