Police search for robbers after cellphone store hold-up

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. —

Fulton County police are searching for two armed bandits who held up an AT&T store and got away with a trash bag full of cellphones.

The robbery happened at the Old National Highway store in broad daylight.

The clerk did not want to be identified, but told Channel 2 Action News the two robbers entered the store and put a gun in his face. They stole all his cash and personal cellphone before leading him into the back storeroom.

"I was more frustrated than terrified," he said.

The clerk said the bandits tied him up then emptied the store safe of between 40 and 50 iPhones and Androids before making their getaway.

Other employees speculated that the thieves may try to sell the phones locally or overseas.

"I'm not angry anymore," the clerk said. "I'm feeling like, pretty much I'm still alive, so God is good."
