COWETA COUNTY, Ga. —

Coweta County officials arrested a man they said was one of the county’s biggest suppliers of methamphetamine.

Coweta County Sheriff Mike Yeager said they received complaints that Michael Winkles, 50, was selling drugs.

Deputies executed a search of his home and found $6,000 worth of meth, $5,000 worth of marijuana, possible black tar heroin, a sawed-off shotgun, several mason jars of moonshine, drug paraphernalia, military ammunition and cash, police said.

Winkles was charged with trafficking meth, felony possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by receiving a stolen trailer.

Officials encouraged the public to continue to report suspicious drug activity to the task force's anonymous tip line at 770-253-2324.
