FULTON COUNTY, Ga. —
Investigators said 73-year-old Ted Harper’s car stopped for some reason in the far right lane of traffic on I-85 northbound. When he stepped out of his car, a driver hit him, police said.
Harper was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center, where he later died.
At the same time, a tractor-trailer and a car collided and caught fire in the southbound lanes. No one was hurt in that crash.
There is no word on charges.
