Patient Says She Was Violated During MRI

FAYETTEVILLE —

Piedmont Fayette Hospital and the police are investigating a complaint – a patient claims she was inappropriately touched by a hospital employee.

It allegedly took place at Piedmont Fayette Hospital during an MRI procedure.

Fayetteville Police are awaiting paperwork from the hospital so they can continue their investigation – they say this is a very new investigation.

Medication to ease the anxiety of having an MRI done at the Piedmont Fayette Hospital has made some of what happened fuzzy, says the alleged victim who does not want to be identified.

She says she is clear about the inappropriate touching that took place late last month that allegedly involved a hospital technician that she trusted to do a medical procedure.

“I don’t know how my shirt got up, I still can’t remember what was said or done to get my shirt to up,” says the alleged victim.

The hospital issued a statement saying, “We are conducting an investigation involving this complaint. The employee is on administrative leave. We are cooperating with authorities.”

The alleged victim did file a police report.

“I really did not know what to say or do, but I am determined this will not happen to another victim or another woman,” she says.

She also says the technician made some inappropriate comments towards her.

The investigation is continuing.
