Online Chat Prompts Child Porn Charges

LILBURN, Ga. —

A judge denied bond Tuesday for a Lilburn man who was charged with distribution of child pornography.

Authorities said Bishara Shorrosh, 51, e-mailed child porn to an undercover investigator with the Lilburn Police Department.

Police said a tip from a woman who had been chatting with Shorrosh online led them to investigate the man. The woman allegedly told authorities that she and Shorrosh were chatting when the conversation turned “eerie.” She said Shorrosh told her he liked teen boys and girls.

Police said a search of Shorrosh’s home revealed he had eight computers -- which investigators are examining for possible evidence.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Manuel Bojorquez knocked on Shorrosh's door and the woman who answered -- who only identified herself as a relative -- said he was "completely innocent".

Lilburn police said more charges are likely.
