ATLANTA —
The National Football League announced it is fining Vick $10,000. That's $5,000 for each of the digits Vick raised to booing fans at the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
The league also suggested Vick donate $10,000 to a charity of his choice.
Vick has apologized for the incident following a 31-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
"It was just a part of a situation where my emotions got the best of me," Vick said. "I apologize sincerely to all my fans and to everybody who saw me make that gesture. … It won't happen again."
Sources say Vick will not appeal the fine.
