Missing Autistic Teen, Family Reunited

Boy Disappeared Saturday

BUCHANAN, Ga. —

A missing 16-year-old autistic teen-ager who disappeared Saturday morning was found safe Monday and reunited with his parents after a frantic search by volunteers.

Authorities said Jonathan "John" Isaac Bolton was found in the parking lot of a Douglas County Kroger and was unharmed. He was last seen in the Buchanan area while out on a jog.

Authorities said there were a series of sightings in Douglas and the place where he was last seen.

A television news viewer who spotted the boy in the parking lot called police and alerted them to the boy's whereabouts.

The boy apparently walked about 50 miles from home to see how far he could get.
