DACULA, Ga. —
Channel 2’s Linda Stouffer went to the 18th annual Dacula Memorial Day parade.
The crowd cheered on an Army colonel from Gwinnett County and a solider from World War II, but the biggest applause was for the men and women who couldn’t attend.
One of the fallen heroes being honored was Adam McSween. His mother gave Stouffer a card explaining that he died on a second tour in Iraq.
“They save our country for us,” a young girl told Stouffer.
Her sister agreed.
“We wouldn’t be here like this if it wasn’t for them. It’s very special,” she said.
