Capt. Jason Shivers of the Forsyth County fire department said the man was alone in a boat on a pond north of Cumming on Sunday.
Shivers said family members found the man's boat overturned and called 911, and divers pulled the man's body from the water around 6:30 p.m.
Shivers says the victim had been visiting family. His name has not been released.
