HENRY COUNTY, Ga. —
RAW VIDEO: Burglary Suspect Throws Cat Onto Roof
Police in Henry County said they just obtained video from the incident that occurred in October at the Georgia Forestry Commission on Highway 42 in McDonough.
SLIDESHOW: Suspect Throws Cat
Police said the tape shows a white male entering vehicles at the Georgia Forestry Commission and stealing two axes.
The video shows the man inside the forestry shed as he is greeted by the forestry cat, "Wildfire," an orange and white tabby, police said. The man reaches down, grabs the cat behind its neck, takes it outside, and slings it 20 to 30 feet in the air. Police said the cat hit the roof before falling back to the concrete. The cat landed on its back and fled.
SLIDESHOW: More Adoptable Dogs At The Atlanta Humane Society
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s to mid-30s who has shoulder-length brown hair, is balding on top and was wearing a T-shirt and jeans. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Rick Franklin at 770-288-8266.
The cat is now OK.
