Man Accused Of Threatening AFLAC Employees

ATLANTA —

FBI agents in Atlanta arrested a man accused of threatening workers at AFLAC Insurance.

AFLAC is based in Columbus, Ga.

Agents said John Rouse, 61, of Houston, Texas made threatening comments over the phone.

Officials said Rouse told workers he’d use a gun or explosive device if his claim was not resolved in a timely manner.

Rouse was charged with extortion/interstate threatening telephone communications. If convicted, he faces a maximum five years in prison and a fine.
