MARIETTA, Ga. —

The woman was delivering a product booklet to the man at the apartment complex when he grabbed her and forced her by gunpoint into some woods near the apartments, police said.
Officials said the man robbed the victim of money and jewelry and then raped her. Police said the woman was able to convince the man to let her go and she ran to safety.
Marietta police said they executed a search warrant at the Crestmont Apartments and found evidence and arrested the suspect, Benito Toscano-Vargas.
Toscano-Vargas was charged with armed robbery, rape, kidnapping and terroristic threats. He is currently being held at the Cobb County Jail without bond.
