GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. —
Lawrenceville police said Marcus T. Brown hijacked his girlfriend's car at gunpoint around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning because he said he needed to get to Lawrenceville Municipal Court.
Brown's girlfriend called and alerted police after the incident.
Officers at the courthouse arrested Brown when he arrived, police said.
Brown was charged with driving with a suspended license, carrying a concealed weapon, and theft. Police said they do not expect to file hijacking charges because Brown's girlfriend declined to press charges.
Brown was arrested in April on drug charges, according to Gwinnett court records.
