“The Channel 2 Action News iPad App was built to keep Georgians plugged into local news,” said Tim McVay, vice president and general manager of Channel 2 WSB-TV. “The app is constantly updated and delivers breaking news, weather and traffic coverage twenty four hours a day.”

This interactive app is loaded with hundreds of local stories from the City of Atlanta, Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb, Clayton and 50 other counties.

“With an easy to navigate design, users can quickly read the day’s top stories and watch videos from reporters working in local neighborhoods,” said News Director Mike Dreaden.

The Channel 2 Action News iPad App features live streaming of Channel 2 Action News every day, every newscast and when severe weather watches or warnings are issued.

The app features the local five day forecast, current conditions, and live Storm Tracker 2 HD radar.  Users can take control of the interactive radar and track bad weather before it hits their neighborhood. These powerful weather tracking tools are backed by Atlanta’s most experienced team of meteorologists: Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns and meteorologists Karen Minton, David Chandley and Brad Nitz.

The Channel 2 Action News iPad App also helps local drivers around traffic backups with real time interactive road maps, current highway speeds and point-to-point drive times.

Users can download the Channel 2 Action News iPad app free in the iTunes App store to connect instantly to big local stories, traffic coverage and an accurate forecast from Severe Weather Team 2.
