Channel 2 Action News has uncovered stunning information about the wrong-way crash on Highway 316 in Gwinnett County that injured five people.
Police told Channel 2's Kerry Kavanaugh they are investigating whether the wrong-way driver is suspected of being under the influence of a powerful sedative that she possibly stole from a hospital where she worked.
Kavanaugh pieced everything together after pulling arrest warrants and police reports.
In the reports, police said they found an IV bag, a needle and multiple vials of the drug Propofol, a sedative commonly used as anesthesia.
Kavanaugh confirmed Beverly Wilkins, 37, worked for Gwinnett Anesthesia Services, which is the service used at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville.
