A woman wants to know what happened to her wedding ring after an ambulance took her to a local hospital.

Tirena Bachelor said she went to the hospital after a sleepwalking incident in her Coweta County neighborhood.

Bachelor told Channel 2's Amy Napier Viteri she took an herbal sleep aid and ended up sleepwalking hours later. "I got fully dressed, put on a lot of jewelry, including my wedding ring," Bachelor said.

She said she walked down the street to a neighbor's house and knocked on the door.

"I partially disrobed. I took off my jewelry from my fingers and I dropped them right where I was standing," Bachelor said.

A neighbor called 911 and emergency responders took Bachelor to the hospital.

When she woke up, she said she was told an EMT who responded to the call dropped off her jewelry, everything except her wedding ring.

"He admitted he took possession of my jewelry and other things," Bachelor said.

Bachelor said she had the ring appraised for $8,490 earlier this year. She said the employee claimed he found only two rings, but he had dropped off four rings at the hospital.

"He either doesn't have a good memory or he's lying. And I believe he's lying," Bachelor said.

The company involved, American Medical Response, issued a statement saying: "Our company is investigating this matter internally and will follow up with the patient directly when we have more information."

The company's director of operations told Viteri they take claims of missing personal property very seriously and it's not something that happens often.

Bachelor filed a report with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office and said she would like to either get the ring back or be reimbursed.
