ALPHARETTA, Ga —
Alpharetta Police say a truck hit a utility truck knocking a utility worker 20 feet from the bucket of his truck.
The crash happened at the intersection of Haynes Bridge Road and Old Milton Parkway just after 9 p.m. Friday.
Police spokesman George Gordon said the utility worker's vehicle was hit by a garbage truck towing a trailer. Police spent several hours looking for the vehicle, but received a phone call from the owner of the truck on Saturday morning who told them he was unaware he had hit the utility truck with his trailer until he noticed the damage.
The utility worker was taken to a hospital for treatment of broken bones and is expected to recover.
