ACWORTH, Ga. —

Acworth police have arrested three men accused of shooting out the windows of more than 30 cars with a BB gun.

The shooting spree began late Monday afternoon. Police said three men shot at car windows at a movie theater, and then moved across the street to a gym, where they did more damage.

"My driver side door window was shattered. I was in a little shock," one victim said.

The man, who did not want to be identified, is one of at least 31 victims in the shooting spree. He told Channel 2's Michael Buczyner that his car was parked outside a gym on Monday afternoon when it, along with seven others, was hit in a barrage of BB pellets.

Another BB missed the man's rear window, but dented his car.

"There was glass everywhere. Different cars. A couple of friends (cars) were hit also," the man said.

Acworth police said the three shooters blew out car windows all over Cobb County.

"Looks like they went on a joyride around the area shooting out windows," Acworth Police Chief Michael Wilkie said.

Police arrested three men and charged them with criminal damage to property. The youngest, 17-year-old Caleeb Fields, is also facing drug charges.

A witness and video from surveillance cameras helped police catch the three.

"I doubt seriously that they thought that they would get caught. It was someone who saw them and modern technology and that nailed it down," Wilkie said. "I hope they learn from this lesson. You do a crime, you do the time."
