Midtown prostitution worries prompt 'No cruising' extension

ATLANTA —

Residents in midtown told Channel 2 Action News that they are seeing a big surge in prostitution

Those residents, who would not talk on camera, said they have been seeing a constant stream of men and women all night along Juniper Street.

Now the city has extended its 'No cruising' curfew in midtown by three hours.

"It ended up being that that 4 a.m. to 7 a.m period was being a no man's land. That was when most of the crime and prostitution and robberies would end up happening," Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall said.

The 'No cruising' law prohibits driving through curfew zones twice within two hours.
