SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. —

Sandy Springs police have charged a man for dealing drugs with his own toddler in the car.

Glenn Harper, 53, was arrested Tuesday after investigators say undercover detectives purchased loose Viagra pills from him in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Roswell Road.

Captain Steve Rose said Harper was advertising the pills on Craigslist.

“He asked who he thought was the buyer to come to the car because he had his 2-year-old daughter in the car with him and he couldn’t get out,” Rose told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik.

Rose said Harper sold the detectives several pills for $120 and was then arrested.  Police called the girl’s mother to come pick her up.

“You’re putting the child into a dangerous situation when you’re selling drugs,” he said, adding that buying prescription pills on the street in general is a risky proposition.

“It may be a legitimate, it could be some knockoff they made, completely manufactured, but it is dangerous,” Rose said.

Petchenik reached Harper by phone Friday.  Harper told Petchenik the arrest “is what it is.”

“I make wives and husbands very happy,” he said of his Viagra sales.

Neighbor Shara White told Petchenik she’s shocked to hear about the arrest.

“I think that was pretty stupid. That was ridiculous,” she said.  “Why would he put a child in harm’s way?”
