WINDER, Ga. —

Winder police are searching for three men after a man was robbed at gunpoint while he was holding a baby.

Police said Nicholas Williams and another man entered the Apperson Drive apartment of an acquaintance on Wednesday. Police said the unidentified man held the victim at gunpoint as Williams, 23, grabbed $1,100 in cash and the victim’s cellphone.

The victim told police he tried to chase the men when they fled, but was unable to keep up because he was holding a 1-year-old in his arms.

Police said the two men left the apartment in a getaway car driven by Antonio Cain, 33.

The victim told police the car was a light gray sedan.

When captured, Williams will face charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, cruelty to children and use of a weapon during the commission of a crime. Cain will face charges of being party to the crime of armed robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Winder Police Department at 770-867-2156.
