ATLANTA —

Police are looking for a group of men who raped women in two separate attacks in South Fulton County early Friday.

Fulton County Police spokesman Sgt. Scott McBride told Channel 2 Action News the attacks happened off Old National Highway at a vacant home. Police are looking for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area between 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday morning. Police are actively looking for three men described as being in their late teens or early 20s.

"One was coming home from work another was going to a business and these gentlemen just came and snatched them up," McBride said.

One of the assaults occurred at a vacant home on the southern end of Old National Highway and the other on the northern edge.

"It's my understanding that is occurred sort of like a robbery, they came at them when they were not expecting it," McBride said.

McBride said police are not prepared to release more information in the case, but they wanted South Fulton County residents to be on alert. Authorities hoped to have a better description of the men available at a later time.

Police are asking all women to be aware of the surroundings and to report any suspicious activity they have noticed near vacant homes in South Fulton County.
