Police: Driver crashed into condo after falling asleep

Police say a driver fell asleep behind the wheel before crashing into the Parklane Condominiums.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —

A Toyota Corolla caused significant damage to a DeKalb County condo building.

Channel 2’s Sophia Choi said police told her the driver fell asleep behind the wheel before crashing into the Parklane Condominiums around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

DeKalb County police said no one was injured in the crash.

Police said there is no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement, but the driver will be charged with a moving violation. Police also said the driver did not have permission to use the car.
