A massage therapist has been charged with sexual battery after two women filed reports with the Fulton County Police Department alleging he touched them inappropriately during a massage.

“This has destroyed my life,” one woman told Channel 2’s Amy Napier Viteri.

The woman did not want to be identified.

She said she went to Zen Massage on Butner Road in November.  She said the business was empty except for two male employees, including massage therapist Antwan Rowe.

The woman told Napier Viteri that she became uncomfortable during the massage when Rowe began touching her inappropriately and focusing on areas she had not requested.

“A lot of attention on my thighs and then my inner thighs,” she said.

She said Rowe pressed himself against her.

In a second police report from Dec. 24, another woman told police Rowe exposed himself to her and attempted sex.

The first woman said she was afraid to scream because there was no one else nearby.

“I was thinking it would be over soon and that I could get out without being raped,” she said.

She said Rowe did not speak until the massage was over, at which point he told her, ‘My name is Antwan and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed it.’

Zen Massage owner Steve Labroi told Napier Viteri he was only aware of one complaint against Rowe and allowed him to continue working because the case against him was pending.

In a separate statement, Labroi said customer safety is a priority for the business, which has been open four years.  He said Rowe will no longer work there due to the second complaint.

“Of course we’re concerned about all of our customers,” Labroi said.

The woman said she notified the owners about what happened to her and more should have been done.

“I told her word for word, 'I know he’s a perpetrator and I know he’s going to do this again and I know he’s going to be more aggressive,'" she said.

Napier Viteri contacted Rowe by phone and he referred her to his attorney.  His attorney had no comment.
