DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —
A man was shot and killed inside a DeKalb County apartment late Sunday, police said. A woman at the Lancashire Court apartments in Stone Mountain called 911 just before midnight and told police the door of an upstairs apartment was left open and she thought it was suspicious. Officers found the body of a man inside the apartment’s living room. Police told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore the man was shot in the head.Neighbors told Moore the man had moved into the apartment about a month ago and they knew very little about him. Police described the victim as being in his 20s. Detectives talked to one person at the scene and took another person to headquarters for questioning, Moore reported. Police did not have an immediate motive in the shooting. Stay with Channel 2 Action News and WSBTV.com for updates on this developing story.
