CUMMING, Ga. —
An Alpharetta man was arrested after authorities caught him taking inappropriate pictures at a sandwich shop, investigators said.
Deputies arrested 55-year-old Stephen Roegge outside a Firehouse Subs restaurant on Atlanta Highway in Cumming. Investigators said he placed his cellphone under the skirt of a customer standing in line and took pictures.
The alleged victim was unaware of the cellphone, but two undercover Forsyth County narcotics agents were in line and detained Roegge. He faces several felonies, including one count of Peeping Tom.
"It's horrifying. It's very disturbing to know that somebody would just take advantage of people who are vulnerable,” Roegge’s neighbor, Margaret Murphy, told Channel 2’s Michael Buczyner.
Buczyner was in their Alpharetta neighborhood looking to speak to Roegge, but the person at his home refused to open the door.
"There's no way to protect yourself against people like that. It's great that there are people around catching folks like that, but there's nothing you can do to fight it," Murphy told Buczyner.
