FULTON COUNTY, Ga. —
Johns Creek police are searching for a man who exposed himself to a woman at a local park.
The victim, who only wanted to be identified by her first name of Varenka, told Channel 2's Mike Petchenik it happened Thursday morning after a jog at Ocee Park on Buice Road.
"When I was finishing my lap, I found him on the other side, and I greeted him," she said. "I didn't feel comfortable to do another lap."
Varenka said the man was staring at her as she got into her car to drive home.
"When I was driving out of the park, he was exposing himself," she said.
The woman told Petchenik she didn't have her phone with her and had to flag down another person to call police.
"It was a shock," she said. "In the beginning I couldn't believe what he was doing."
Varenka said she tried to follow the man down Buice Road, but he was able to get away.
She described the man as an African-American in his 30s. She said he is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 200 pounds. He was clean-shaven, wearing a black shirt and shorts and was driving in a newer-model white Toyota truck, possibly a Forerunner.
Johns Creek police couldn't provide Petchenik any information about the search for a suspect or of this case is related to two similar flashings that happened last July.
At the park Tuesday, Petchenik found visitors who expressed concern about the incident.
"I think that's terrible because I bring my kids here all the time," said Erin Benis.
