Jeep pulled from DeKalb apt. building

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —

A Jeep was hauled out of a DeKalb County apartment building Monday afternoon.

Channel 2’s Carl Willis
spoke to residents at the Ridge apartments off Pleasantdale Road, where the car struck a building. Neighbors said the crash happened around 2 a.m., and the driver appeared to be intoxicated.

Officers said they weren’t notified until more than nine hours later. By then, the driver had left the scene, but the car was still stuck at the complex.

The Jeep Cherokee crashed through a carport and struck a laundry room, displacing a washing machine. The resident of a nearby unit said he was just glad no one was hurt.

“He could’ve came through my living room with my two girls. I really didn’t want that to happen,” Hernan Calfucura told Willis.

Police are still looking for the owner of the Jeep.
