Paving work on Interstate 285 is creating congestion for drivers in metro Atlanta this weekend.
Traffic trying to get onto I-285 spilled out onto Interstate 75 southbound Saturday morning.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, an ongoing resurfacing project is being carried out on I-285 between Ashford Dunwoody and Paces Ferry roads eastbound. Three left lanes are blocked through Monday morning.
Westbound, three lanes are closed from Ashford Dunwoody Road to I-75
During the week, work is limited to overnight hours, but crews are expected to work throughout the weekend on the project.
