ATLANTA —

A crash involving multiple cars caused major traffic delays on the Downtown Connector during Friday’s afternoon commute.

Channel 2’s Tony Thomas went to the crash scene, where a flipped Chevy Tahoe sat on top of a Honda Civic on an interstate median. Three southbound lanes of Interstate 85 and one northbound lane were blocked while crews worked to clear the scene.

At least one person trapped in the SUV was taken away in an ambulance. There were two total injuries reported, but none were life-threatening.

Georgia State Patrol troopers and Atlanta firefighters were at the scene near the Langford Parkway exit.

Channel 2’s Jason Durden advised drivers to use Metropolitan Parkway southbound as a workaround.
