DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —
Residents of a condo community in DeKalb County say they're frustrated by the sudden booting of cars. Dozens of vehicles were booted early Thursday morning at the Waldrop Park Condominiums off Flat Shoals Road. Channel 2's Rachel Stockman tried to ask employees of the booting company about the 25 cars they immobilized, but received no answers. Some cars even had two boots. "We tried to contact the condo president. It's a scary situation. Do we go to sleep or do we stay here so our cars won't get booted?" resident Brittany Greene said. "I have to be to work in two or three hours, and I have to be at work, and I've been parking here for five or six months," resident Travis Thrash said. Residents said they got a notice in August about getting a new parking tag by Oct. 1 to park in the community. Some said they applied for the tag, but never received one. Stockman is working to contact the condo association to learn more about why so many cars were booted at once.
A Channel 2 Action News investigation finds thousands of local votes in the last presidential election didn’t count, though many should have.
