CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. —
Two parents were killed and three people, including their infant, were injured in a two-car crash in Cherokee County Sunday morning.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the crash took place on Knox Bridge Highway around 11 a.m.
The Sheriff's Office said a Ford Focus traveling eastbound crossed the center line and struck a Dodge pick-up truck traveling westbound.
The two adult passengers of the Focus, 48-year-old driver Rick Headen and 40-year-old Charlotte Sedtal, were killed, the Cherokee County Fire Department said. Their 2-month-old son suffered a traumatic brain injury and a broken leg, the Fire Department said. He was taken to Scottish Rite Hospital for treatment.
Two people in the truck were injured and taken to Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.
The crash took place around five miles west of Canton.
The Sheriff's Office traffic unit is investigating the crash.
