EAST POINT, Ga. —
East Point police are looking for three people who were in a car that crashed into a power pole early Tuesday.
The car flipped over and struck a power pole on Stone Road in East Point. Channel 2 Action News was at the scene as city officers investigated around 2:50 a.m. East Point police are investigating whether street racing is to blame for the crash.
"I heard a boom. When I opened my door, I saw the car flipped over, then I heard some arguing. I don't know what they were arguing about," resident Kevin Johnson told Cook.
The road was blocked for more than five hours while East Point Power crews worked to clear wires left in the road and replace the power pole.
Police said three people fled the scene and it doesn’t appear anyone was hurt.
