Atlanta police are looking for the shooter behind a killing in northwest Atlanta on Wednesday.

Police said they were called to the Gables 820 West apartments around 2:30 p.m. after shots were fired. When officers arrived, they found a body on a sidewalk on West Marietta Street.

Channel 2’s Michael Buczyner went to the complex, and police were still canvassing the area hours later. Officers were getting warrants to search apartments in the area.

Police had few details but believe a confrontation inside an apartment developed into a shooting outside. They did not identify the victim but described him as a man in his mid-20s.
