A bar owner is offering a $7,000 reward after robbers held his customers at gunpoint.
“Guy came in, said, ‘Ya’ll know what this is about.’ (He) pointed a gun in the middle of the bar,” customer Monica Tannian said.
Six customers and a bartender were in the North Highland Pub in Inman Park Monday night when they were surprised by two robbers.
Tannian said one of the robbers stuck a gun against her head.
“I heard it pull back. I heard it. Yes. Everybody there was no hysterical or panicked. We were all pretty kind of really paying attention and thinking this was surreal,” Tannian said.
Police said the robbery happened around 11:30 p.m., and the robbers were gone in less than a minute.
“The money that was taken was about $300 from the cash register. They took the whole drawer from the register and about another $100 from the patrons,” Capt. Adam Lee of the Atlanta Police Department said.
Neighbor Kelly Cook told Channel 2’s Linda Stouffer that she doesn’t feel as safe in Inman Park after she was recently mugged around the corner from the pub.
Signs on North Highland offer cash for information about who terrified the customers at the local spot.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
