Atlanta DWM Implements Changes To Toilet Rebate Program

The following is a news release issued by the City of Atlanta

The City of Atlanta is making a significant change to its low-flow, toilet rebate program in compliance with the policies of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District. Beginning January 1, 2012, the City will no longer offer $50 rebates for installation of a 1.6-gallon-per-flush (gpf) toilet. The $100 rebate for installation of an EPA WaterSense-designated, 1.28-gpf or less toilet remains in effect.

To apply for a $100 rebate, customers must:

  • Live in or rent a single-family home built in or before1993;
  • Receive a water/sewer bill from the City of Atlanta and be current on all water/sewer account payments; and
  • Have the original receipt from the toilet purchase.

Toilet rebate applications are available at www.northgeorgiawater.org/toiletrebate. For more information, call 404-463-8645.
