Atlanta-bound plane veers off Houston runway

HOUSTON, Texas —

An Atlanta-bound Delta jet veered off the runway at Houston's Hobby Airport Monday morning.

According to the Houston Airport System, Delta Flight 4302 was expected to take off around 6 a.m., but somehow veered off into the grassy area next to the runway.

No injuries were reported.

The Houston Airport System described the plane as a smaller Delta jet. The approximately 70 passengers on board deplaned around 9 a.m.

The airport system said the plane will be towed to an area where it can be checked for any issues.
