LITHONIA, Ga. —
Arson investigators are looking into a suspicious fire at a Lithonia condominium.
DeKalb County firefighters quickly extinguished the flames on the balcony of a unit at the Somerset Condos on Sutcliff Square Tuesday morning.
The DeKalb County Fire Department battalion chief told Channel 2 Action News that several people were inside the condo when the fire started.
There were reports that someone deliberately set some shrubs on fire, which cause the flames to jump to the top unit.
An investigator spoke to several tenants who live in the building, but according to the chief, their stories did not add up.
Fire crews roped off the area so investigators could gather evidence early Tuesday morning.
All tenants made it out of the building safely.
