ATLANTA —

A 79-year-old woman was back in court Friday to face drug-related charges.

Channel 2’s Ryan Young was the only reporter in court when Norma Cheren faced a Fulton County superior court judge.

She was indicted after police said they found nearly nine pounds of marijuana and more than $100,000 in cash in her southeast Atlanta home. Police said they caught her trying to sell marijuana near the Cheesecake Factory in Buckhead.

At the time, neighbors said they were shocked.

"Little old lady, she lives by herself, always see her coming in, coming out. (I) thought she was going to work," a neighbor said.

Cheren told Channel 2 Action News crews she had nothing to say after Friday’s hearing. Her next court date is March 11.
