Information On Vick's Virginia Home

Real estate records obtained this evening by Channel 2 Action News show a home formally owned by Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Michael Vick was worth an estimated $747,000. The records show the home is registered to Vick and Charles Reamon, Jr, the nephew of Vick’s former high school football coach. (Reamon’s other address is listed as Harcourt Place, Newport News, VA, according to the records).

The house includes 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a white brick exterior, hardwood floors, and a full basketball court in the backyard. The Surry County, Virginia Commissioner of the Revenue says the dwelling itself is valued at $647,000, while the 15 acres of land upon which the home sits is valued at $100,000. The home, 1915 Moonlight Road, sits across the street from a Baptist Church and is surrounded by a large, white fence.

An appraisal on the home was completed in November, 2006, which was 5 months before police raided the home and seized materials suspected of being used in dog fighting.

A recent report in the Virginian-Pilot newspaper said Vick sold the home at the “cut-rate price of $350,000” earlier this month. Gail Clayton, Clerk of the Surry County Court, tells wsbtv.com the name of the new owner is not yet available. Clayton says the contract is still pending and complete records won’t be available for at least "several days."
