COBB COUNTY
Cobb County will begin giving flu shots Monday, October 1. Cost is $20.
CLAYTON COUNTY
Clayton County will begin giving flu shots Saturday, October 20. Cost is $25.
DeKALB COUNTY
DeKalb County began giving flu shots September 17. Cost is $25.
FULTON COUNTY
The Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness will begin offering flu shots beginning Monday, October 1, 2007 at its 12 health centers. Residents will be able to obtain the flu shot at a cost of $25. The Department ordered over 14,000 doses of the flu vaccine and strongly encourages individuals who fall within the priority high-risk groups identified by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to get their shot.
The groups include:
Children ages 6 months and older Adults ages 50 and older Persons over 6 months old with certain chronic medical conditions Residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities Healthcare workers involved in direct patient care Caregivers, including daycare workers, and household contacts of children under age 5 Women who will be pregnant during the influenza season
