DULUTH, Ga. —
The Super Grand Buffet at 1630 Pleasant Hill Rd. notched a perfect 100 on a reinspection on Monday.
READ: New Restaurant Inspection Report
Management and staffers attended a seminar on health code compliance and provided the inspectors with a plan to correct a long list of violations.
On the insecption that resulted in a 15 the inspector found:
Chemicals and medicines stored next to food preparation areas
Flies in soup being served to customers
Raw fruit and vegetables were so poorly washed there was still dirt on them.
The Super Grand Buffet also was cited for filthy conditions in the kitchen with grease dripping from stove vents and dirt on food prep areas.
The only recommendation on the reinspection report is that the restaurant should make sure light bulbs over the food prep area are shatterproof or shielded.
Since 2005 the Super Grand Buffett has been inspected nine times, always scoring an A, B or C on the reports until last week's 15.
