The family of a grandmother who's been missing for nearly two months says they're not giving up hope.

Pat Moss, 77, walked out of her home on Redland Drive on Sept. 4 and hasn't been seen since.

Her nephew, Charles Brown, flew in from Texas to pass out fliers door to door in her neighborhood and surrounding communities.

"It's family and you do whatever it takes to keep the family together," Brown said.

Channel 2's Erin Coleman went along with Brown as he stopped cars, went to homes and encouraged businesses to post her picture.

Moss suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's. After a family member found her front door open and no sign of her in early September, Clayton County police issued a Mattie's Call and circulated fliers of their own. But since then, the case has gone cold.

"Unfortunately, we haven't really had any leads, so it's important we keep her photo out in the public in case someone does come into contact with her," Lt. Tina Daniel said.

One neighbor believes she saw Moss after she vanished.

"At the convenience store her picture was up, and I said 'That's the lady who came to the car,' " Brigitte Naylor told Brown.

At the time, Naylor said Moss was only a few doors down from her home.

"I just wish I had took her in the house and called the police, let them know she was here," Naylor added.

Moss has a dark brown complexion, is 5 feet 8 inches tall and has a Jamaican accent. If you have seen her, you are asked to call the Clayton County Police Department at 770-473-3935.
