Emory University celebrates 175th anniversary

This year marks Emory University's 175th anniversary.

The original charter that started the school in Oxford, Ga. was written on Dec. 10, 1836. To celebrate this special occasion, Emory University held a special anniversary convocation at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. During the service, school leaders also recognized 175 Emory history makers, who not only had an impact on Emory, but society as well.
