MARIETTA, Ga. —
Patrick Graham, 36, was arrested just before midnight Tuesday at an apartment complex on South Cobb Drive.
The Cobb County SWAT team was called out to assist in the arrest.
A suspect had been sought since the Sunday robbery at a GameStop store in which 21-year-old Matthew Cherry died. An autopsy found that Cherry died from suffocation after having his hands tied behind his back and duct tape put over his nose and mouth.
Authorities began to close in on Graham after police in Canton found Cherry's abandoned car, which had been stolen during the robbery. A warrant for Graham's arrest was issued after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation matched fingerprints from the car.
Marietta police spokesman Mark Bishop says investigators also found merchandise stolen from the store in Graham's apartment.
