Driver Killed In Median Crash

A driver was killed after crashing into an interstate median wall on Sunday morning, police said.

The crash occurred at about 8:44 a.m. on Interstate 20 at Salem Road in Rockdale County, police said.

The driver left the road, came back across the lanes and struck the median wall, police said. They said the driver died after the vehicle rolled over.

The driver was identified as Eric Clinton Deaton, 28, of Covington, according to the Rockdale Citizen newspaper.

No one else was in the car during the crash, police said. They did not release the victim’s name.
