Downtown Connector Re-Opens, I-575 Closed

Due to standing water, officials with the Georgia Department of Transportation told Channel 2 Action News that Interstate 575 is closed in Cherokee County.

The downtown connector was also closed for a short time, but it has since re-opened.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said drivers should use extreme caution when traveling on wet roads and through standing water, since it is difficult to know how deep the water actually is.
