DULUTH, Ga. —
Channel 2 Action News has obtained dash-cam video that shows the dangerous moments officers faced during a shootout.
It happened Tuesday night off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Duluth while officers were responding to call of a robbery in progress.
Police said they believe the gunman was shooting to kill.
When officers turn on their lights and sirens, they never truly know what waits. Last Tuesday, it was an officer with a gun.
On the video the officer could be heard saying, "He's armed, pointing the gun at me. Sir, get down on the ground, get down on the (expletive) ground."
Police said a man called 911 reporting a robbery at the Tong Tong China Massage parlor.
The video showed the first officer shouted for help saying, "Shots fire, shots fired, shots fired."

From her dash-cam video you could hear the violent exchange, from the second officer's video, you could actually see it.
That video shows a male officer getting out of his car and shouting, "Put the gun down," and then diving to avoid a hail of gunfire.
The video shows a puff of dust rise after a bullet strikes the ground no more than 10 feet from him. Both officers were OK after the incident.
Police said the shooter a man, and a female accomplice got in their car and took off.
Anna Gao, the parlor owner, said the same man who fired at officers had just held a gun to her head.
She told Channel 2's Kerry Kavanaugh that a man and woman came into her parlor demanding $3,000, which she didn't have.
Gao said a customer called 911. She said she doesn't know what would have happened to her if police hadn't arrived when they did.
While watching the video, Kavanaugh counted at least 20 rounds exchanged.
Police said officers train for these moments, but they never when they'll actually encounter them.
"The officers give the individual the opportunity tosurrender. (In the video) she tells him to put the gun down several times," said Maj. Don Woodruff. "These people are obviously -- by their behavior -- are very dangerous and need to be taken off the street as soon as possible."
If you have any information about the pair you are asked to call Duluth police at 770-476-4151.
