Crime Sweep In Clayton County

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. —

Clayton County police officers spent several hours early Saturday morning trying to flush out criminals. They swept Flint River Road from Tara Boulevard to Highway 85.

Within the first two hours of the operation, police locked up 9 people. They also targeted teenagers violating their curfew. Clayton County Police Chief said, "If they're out roaming the streets, we're going to pick them up, we're going to bring them back to the command center...we're going to call Mom and Dad."

The operation was called "Flushing the Flint."
